Platform Process

The Texas Republican Party has a state platform. We have no reports of any submission containing caregiver language to this party.  Resolutions were proposed at precinct conventions and then sent to the County or Senate District conventions and finally to the Republican Party of Texas Platform Committee. Key Dates for Texas Republicans

• The Texas GOP Primary was held on March 1, 2016.
• County/Senatorial Conventions were held on March 19, 2016. Platform was addressed at county meetings.
•  State Convention was held on May 12-14, 2016 in Dallas. The platform was amended on May 13.
