On December 1, 2015, the Family Caregiver Platform Project made a submission to the Oregon Democratic Party for both a platform change and a party resolution. On May 1, 2016, the Democratic Party of Oregon unanimously passed Resolution 2016-080 regarding support of family caregivers. This strong resolution is now the Oregon Democratic Party’s official policy on the subject. You can read the final resolution at: http://dpo.org/party/business/resolutions/2016-080.

Platform/Resolutions Process
The Democratic Party of Oregon maintains a standing Platform and Resolutions Committee. A State Platform Convention is held in each election year within forty-five days of the Primary Election.
